     b^2-4ac =0
     a=4, b=12, c=k
     (12)^2 - 4(4)k =0
     144-16k=0
      144=16k
       k=9
(b)Find the roots.
     4x^2 + 12x + k =0
     4x^2 + 12x + 9 =0
         (2x+3)(2x+3)=0
                       2x+3=0
                            2x=-3
                              x=-3/2
