The marked price of a certain handbag is $400. After two successive sales, the selling price of the handbag becomes $225. If the discount per cent in each sale is x%,find the value of x.

handbag的 orginial price是400
而後來卻變了225
then
400(1-x%)=225
答案則由你自己解答

255=400(1-x%)(1-x%) ............After TWO successive sales
0.6375=(1-x%)^2
0.7984=1-x%
x%=0.2016
x=20.16
