Are there any differences between function and formula?They all show the relationship between variables.

A function is a relation between two variables. One of the variable is called dependent variable
and the other is called the independent variable. For every value of the independent variable,
there is one(and only one) corresponding value of the dependent variable. This is a special point of
function.e.g y=2n-1 if n=2 then y=3 n=3 y=5 yand n have relationship.If the two or above answer have no relationship,
it is not a function.

You just talk something about functions.But, how about formulaes?Formulaes can also show the relation between two or more variables.Also,for every value of one of the variables in the formula,there is one(and only one) corresponding value of the other variable too.
